Doodles of various types have captured the hearts of millions of dog owners around the world. Their lovable nature, striking appearance and remarkable intelligence have made them a favorite among people of all walks of life for generations.

At Trails and Tails Doodles we have bundled these wonderful traits into a smaller dog package.  The Mini Aussie Cockapoo or Mini Aussiedoodle with a sprinkling of Cocker Spaniel.  Our pups are approximately 50% Moyen Poodles, 25% Australian Shepherd, 25% Cocker Spaniel.  Both the Poodle and the Cocker Spaniel are non-shedding, hypo-allergenic hair dogs. Hair grows, therefore a doodle needs trimmed periodically while the fur on a dog sheds and leaves fur bunnies around and under furniture and on your clothings.

These pint sized pups are the result of combining the intelligence of both the Australian Shepherd and the Moyen Poodle.  We added the charm, cuddliness and the compact frame of the Cocker Spaniel to create a fun and beloved family member. Their intelligence shines through as they quickly grasp commands, making training a rewarding experience. They possess a natural desire to please, making them perfect for families, singles and senior citizens alike. Our pups have a friendly and gentle demeanor, making them a great choice and excellent playmates for families with all ages of children.

Your Doodle’s Coat Care

Weekly grooming will help to keep your doodle’s coat healthy and free of tangles.  They will learn to enjoy a frequent shower or bath as well.  I like to start my 7 week old pups in a warm bath with me in the tub with them.  They will loose all fear of the water if you join them, while making it fun!  Since doodles have hair not fur, they will need a trim 3 or 4 times per year, depending on the appearance you prefer.  I encourage my clients to learn how to do their own grooming after they have been professionally groomed several times, and most of their wiggles have been worked out.  I give my dog a CBD tincture about 15-20 minutes before I start the grooming process. When your dog is tired and no longer cooperative, stop the grooming for the day.  You can always start up again in the next day or two.  You don’t want your pup to sour on getting his hair washed/groomed. The CBD Tinture I use is this:  SOURCECBDHEMP.COM  Don’t forget to use Youtube to get started on how to groom your dog.  I used Youtube to teach me how to Artificially Inseminate my female dog.  It has been convenient to have my own stud dog to use.
